On January 15, New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the nation’s largest carmaker, announced a price increase of up to 4.3 percent across its models with immediate effect. The company raised prices by 0.1 percent to 4.3 percent to partly counteract the impact of rising input costs. The average price increase in ex-showroom Prices (Delhi) for all models is 1.7 percent. These new prices come into effect today. MSI offers a variety of vehicles, from Alto to S-Cross, priced between Rs 3.15 lakh and Rs 12.56 lakh. This marks the fourth price hike by the company in the past year, bringing the total increase to 4.9 percent. The recent price hikes have been attributed to the escalating costs of essential materials such as steel, aluminum, copper, plastic, and precious metals over the past year.
